My school year was pretty amazing. I met new people and I learned a lot of fun and interesting facts. I learned integers in Math in the beginning of the school year. Science was awesome we did a lot of experiments the first experiment I did was Earthwarm Lap. Touching a warm was nasty but then I remember when I was a little girl I used to play with the dirt a lot and look for warms to touch. The first assignment I got was Major Land Masses and Bodies of Water. Mrs. Rubio my language arts teacher gave us homework on the first day of school she just told us to read the agenda pages 1-10 the homework was pretty easy. For P.E I don't remember what we did but I didn't have homework which is the best part. So for my last subject "AVID" Mrs. Park showed us the Class Overview I don't remember what it was because its been 9 months since school started.
Math
In Math I have an A (90%) I have this grade because I have been turning in my homework and classwork. I have also been passing my quizzes. I re-took quiz 4-b because I got 14 out 20 correct and I did not like my grade so I went to tutoring on Tuesday and re-took my quiz on Thursday. And the second time I took my quiz I got 18.5 out of 20 questions. Language Arts In Language Arts I have a B (84%) I have this grade because I have been getting low scores these past months but on my quizzes on the Handbook Chapter 13: Capitals I got a good scored I got 90 out 100 correct. Right now I'm trying to increase my grade or percentage by studying harder and getting good scores on my quizzes. Science In science I have a B (80%) I used to have an A with the percentage of 93. I have this grade because of the two benchmarks that I took. The test was so difficult and stressing. Mr. Salazar let us use the study guide but the study guide did not have anything the the test had. Social Studies In Social Studies I have a B with the percentage of 81. I have this grade because in my homework I get a B and for my classwork I get B's. In Mrs. Nguyen class she only accepts A's and B's. In some quizzes I have failed them and in other quizzes I have passed it. Mrs. Nguyen wants you to try your best and to put effort in your homework and classwork. P.E In P.E I have an A with the percentage of 101. I have this grade because I put my best effort on getting a better time in running. I also have this grade because I turn in my homework on time. AVID In AVID I have an A as a grade and with the percentage of 95. I have this grade because I keep my Weebly on update when we are asighn Last week my class was told that we where going to build a rocket. By using a plastic bottle, a see -through bag, string, white cardboard and a metal that holds the parachute. It was fun working in groups of two. I really enjoyed building a rocket with my partner. We had two different science teachers that came from Discovery Science Center. They taught us a lot of things that I haven't learned in science. We went to the field and launched our rockets we filled our rockets with 1/4 of water. Some people did not get to launched their rocket because the tube broke for pulling it to hard. But I had an amazing time building a rocket instead of doing Tutorial Request Form.
UC Irvine was amazing experience for me. I have been their before but I felled in love with the infinity fountain. The infinity fountain is so beautiful I wish I can touch the infinity symbol. Mr. Jackson our tour guide was amazing. He showed us the buildings that are named after people. He also showed us the biggest and popular libraries in UC Irvine. He showed my class and I the anteater hand language. We walked around 1 mile around the campus. I did not feel tired after walking one mile I usually get tired when I run my one mile in p.e. The dorms in UC Irvine are so small. At other university's the dorms are bigger and look like if you live in apartment. My tour guide was trying be funny so my class and I could make the field trip fun. The building's were so tall and unique. Some had windows some did not because the ones that do not have windows are the exploratory laparotomy science. I had a wonderful time at UC Irvine.

Math In math I have been learning percents, decimals, and fractions. The formal that I have been learning is "Percent times Whole equals Part", this formal is very useful to find the part, whole and percent. The Box Method is kind of difficult to use. I also have been learning how to turn a percent to a decimal and how to turn a decimal to a percent. Percent means per hundred. Language Arts In language arts I have been learning "Exploring Themes about Conformity", I have read three themes and I had to identify whether the characters were being influenced by society's expectations or how the characters behavior changes towards some reason. I have also been learning when it's appropriate to use capitalization. Social Studies In social studies I have been learning about "The Renaissance". In the renaissance people looked into "Humanism","Secularism Encourage", "Individualism Important", "Renaissance Art." The focus was on humans as the center of attention and not God. Secularism encouraged people to enjoy and to have pleasure in life. Individuals believed humans are capable to great accomplishments. Renaissance art mainly focused on secularism and individualism instead of religion. Science In science I have been learning about how life changes throughout the years. How animals adapt to a new climate when the continents changed. Scientists use geographic time scale to divide the Earth's history into smaller pieces of time. P.E In p.e I have been learning how to run faster without stopping to take a second to get some air. I have also been helping people run a little bit faster so they can get a higher grade in p.e. AVID
In Avid I have been learning how to take better Cornell Notes and how to be more specific in my reflection. This past Monday in my AVID class I did my Tutorial Request Form on Fraction Buster. My point of confusion was "How do I solve a Fraction Buster and how do I check my work?". The first step you need to do is multiply all the numbers by the denominator. Your second step is to solve for x. When checking your work you need to start with your original equation and then solve your equation by replacing x to the number that equals x. Therefore now you have to solve your equation and check. Reflection on how you achieved or have you not yet achieved your three goals from February.3/10/2015 I have achieved my goal on increasing my grades. I use to have a "D" and "C" but now I have "A's" and "B's". Another goal I have achieved is finishing one book of "Rick Riordan" and taking a AR test. I haven't achieved my goal on writing better cornell notes but I'm wroking on it and I wont give up.MATH
